Google's Android Running on Netbooks

Posted: Jan 5, 02:28 PM

This weekend we saw a slew of news stories about some crafty fellows out there installing Google’s open source Android platform on the ASUS Eee and HP Mini netbooks. If you haven’t seen the video you can check out the HP Mini video below. This is really neat as it has always been speculated that Android would eventually make its way off of mobile phone platform and firmly take its place in the mobile everything platform.

Google’s Android has a lot of potential or really launching a new generation and mindset for mobile devices and I’m excited to see where this eventually ends up in relation to our digital lives. Will we eventually have Google Android everything? Will other companies follow Google’s lead and create universal mobile platforms? What a good way to start the year off :)
