The Best Advertising Spot EVER!

Alright so check it. I was on the bus today and I spotted this DTV switch advertisement that I thought was pretty amusing. It seems someone thought it would be a good idea to advertise the February 2009 DTV switchover on the roof of the bus near the emergency exit… you know, that very thrilling spot on the bus that everyone looks at that is obviously the best place to put such an important advertisement… and yes, that was intended to be a snarky sarcastic comment.

I mean really, who the heck looks up near the emergency exit on the bus? What is a matter with you Portland? Are you really going to tell me that you couldn’t have removed just one of the 500 stupid local Portland poetry advertisements to showcase something that would actually be useful to people? It isn’t like the poems on the bus are any good to begin with! Heck, they aren’t even the full poems, only excerpts of the poems which completely take the freaking poems out of context!

The only reason I happened to see this advertisement was because I slipped and fell since it was wet and icy today and the floor of the bus was covered in snow and water (the liquid form of snow for those not in “the know.”) So after being helped up by a really cute and giggling woman who I now had zero chance of flirting with, I took this very grainy looking picture, as seen above, of the advertisement. Good job Portland. Enjoy!
